The responsibility of purchasing companies: Limits and potentials of certification
This study is a mainly qualitative analysis and evaluation of issues found along palm oil supply chains. In view of current literature and interviewee reports and statements the study’s findings are significant: Not all challenges can be solved with certification alone. Human rights due diligence plays a central role and must be strongly anchored in supply chains and actively sustained in order to be effective.
