Development cooperation

The policy field of development cooperation (DC) is one that affects the situations of persons with disabilities in other countries. German DC is facing the task of integrating the concept of inclusion into all of its strategies and programmes and improving coordination among the government bodies responsible for development cooperation. The human rights approach plays a key role in this context. The National CRPD Monitoring Mechanism is active in an advisory capacity to support the Federal Government in this project.
