Views of the National CRPD Monitoring Mechanism

Views on specific issues

The State party review having been brought to a close, the Monitoring Mechanism is compiling a series of reports stating its views on specific issues relating to the status of CRPD implementation. In these reports, the Monitoring Mechanism takes a closer look at certain of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities recommendations and offers specific suggestions for action by policy-makers in Germany.

Parallel reporting by the Monitoring Mechanism 2015

In March of 2015, the National CRPD Monitoring Mechanism submitted and published its Parallel Report to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in the Context of the Examination of the Initial Report of Germany. Along with brief analyses of specific problems, the report contained recommendations as to how actors at the federal and Länder level should move forward with UN CRPD implementation.
