State party report

The Federal Republic of Germany submitted its initial report in 2011, two years after the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities entered into force in Germany.

On 29 August 2014, the Federal Government submitted a response to the questions contained in the List of Issues drawn by the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in connection with its consideration of Germany's initial report.

Parallel reporting by the National CRPD Monitoring Mechanism

In March of 2015, the National CRPD Monitoring Mechanism submitted and published its parallel report on the occasion of the review of the Germany's initial report by the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities:

The National CRPD Monitoring Mechanism had previously submitted a document containing information and suggestions in conjunction with the preparation of a List of Issues by the Committee in connection with its review of Germany's initial report ("pre-List of Issues submission"), in February of 2014:

Parallel reporting by civil society

In late February 2015, BRK-Allianz, an alliance of 78 civil society organisations interested in CRPD implementation, submitted a document containing additional information relevant to consideration of Germany's initial report by the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities:

BRK-Allianz had previously presented (and published) a pre-List of Issues submission to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, in December of 2013:

Concluding Observations

The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities adopted the final version of its "Concluding observations on the initial report of Germany" on 13 May 2013.
