Concluding Observations

In 2015, the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities conducted its first review of the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) in Germany. Following the review session in Geneva, the body of independent experts drew up its Concluding Observations.

In this section you will find the original English text of the Committee’s Concluding Observations on the initial report of Germany, a brief outline of the Concluding Observations including a summary of the recommendations the Committee addressed to Germany and the (German-language) documentation of a conference held by the Monitoring Mechanism and the Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Disabled Persons on 24 June 2015 entitled Prüfung abgelegt – und nun? Die Empfehlungen des Fachausschusses zur UN-Behindertenrechtskonvention als Impulsgeber für Bund und Länder (Sat the exam – now what? Recommendations of the CRPD Committee as sources of stimuli for the federal level and the Länder).
