The German Institute for Human Rights provides educational material. Most of our publications are in German, but some of the material is also available in English or other languages.

Compass:
The German Institute for Human Rights has adapted the manual "Compass – Manual for human rights education" in cooperation with the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung and the Council of Europe. The manual includes an introduction into human rights education and a vast amount of activities for human rights education with youth and adults. You can find the first edition of "Compass" in many different languages on the Compass portal. The second edition has not yet been translated – the English version is available on the website of The European Wergeland Centre.

Compasito:
Compasito has also been translated and adapted by the German Institute for Human Rights in cooperation with the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung and the Council of Europe. The manual includes an introduction into human rights education and a vast amount of activities for human rights education with youth and adults. Similar to the Compass, Compasito includes an introduction into human rights education and a vast amount of activities. However, these activities are designed for younger learners, aged roughly between 6 and 14 years. Compasito is available in many different languages on the Compasito portal

Online Manual "Inclusion as a Human Right":
Since 2011, the site www.inklusion-als-menschenrecht.de is online (German only). The German Institute for Human Rights, supported by the foundation Remembrance, Responsibility and Future, provides a website with information, biographies and pedagogical material about the topics inclusion, disabilities and human rights.
